How to make it last.
Short, and mostly common sense. Three notes for everything we make.
Wash cool, and less often than you think.
Most clothes get washed because they are in the pile, not because they are dirty. Air them first. When they do need washing, use a cool cycle and a mild soap.
Dry flat or on a line.
Heat is what wears cotton and wool out. Line dry where you can. Dry knitwear flat, away from direct sun.
Fold knitwear. Hang the rest.
Knitwear rests folded, never on a hanger, which stretches the shoulders. Coats and jackets hang on a wide hanger or a peg.
If it wears out, we mend it.
That is the deal. (Demo policy: this is a fictional shop and nothing here can actually be mended.)
